IntenseDebate is a simple comment box developed by the wordpress team. Interestingly it works across most blogging platforms.. Unfortunately, IntenseDebate has no inbuilt feature that allows blogger users to directly add the "recent comment" widget to their blogs
In this tutorial, I will show you the simplest way to add the IntenseDebate recent comment widget to your blog and show you the possible customization . I am assuming you have the IntenseDebate comment system installed already on your blogger.
NOTE: This method might work on other blogging platforms but for the sake of this tutorial I will be using blogger as our experimental specimen.
STEPS:
STEP 1.
Log into your IntenseDebate account . Click on the " Sites" tab located at he top menu and select your site and you will see that your site information will be populated.
STEP 2.
On the left side menu, click on , " Comments" and note the page URL. Your page URL will look like this , " http://intensedebate.com/edit-site-comments/123456 " . The number in bold represents your unique comment ID. Note it down and move over to step 3.
STEP 3
* Log into your blogger account ,
* Click on " Layout" from the left-side menu
* Click on "Add gadget" and select HTML/Javascript from the option.
* Copy and paste the code below in the text field

* Replace the numbers in bold with your unique comment ID you noted in step 2. The number in red represents the number of comments you would like to appear on your blog ; you can adjust it to suite your style.
* Finally click on "' save" and congratulate yourself ! Refresh your blog and you will find the IntenseDebate Recent comment feature on your blog.
